Tamworth’s best loved pub for craft beer and community spirit!
This ‘National Beer Day’ on 15th June we thought it most appropriate to give Tamworth Brewing Co. a jolly good pat on the back for their services to beer!
Tamworth Brewing Co. started brewing in 2017 in their modern microbrewery. The brewery is located in the heart of Tamworth behind a picturesque 16th century shop front in the shadow of Tamworth’s historic Norman castle.
Brewing in the heart of Tamworth they craft experimental beers and popular pale hoppy ales served in their own Tap House and sold to other pubs.
With a beautiful beer garden and regular live music, The Tamworth Tap is a beating heart of life in the middle of Tamworth.
The pub and brewery puts the community at its very heart, from collections for the local foodbank, supporting local charities, hosting a lending library, platforming local talent, opening up their space to local running and board game clubs and creative groups for floristry, knitting or painting workshops! They even have a Brewery Cat called Puds that can be seen charming locals on the street when the pub gets busy.
It’s easy to see why The Tamworth Tap has been crowned CAMRA’s ‘National Pub of the Year’ for two years running, winning in both 2022 and 2023! The Tamworth Tap is truly what every local pub should be - a place to enjoy excellent beer and excellent company!
