March Of The Elephants

by St. Giles Hospice

For over 40 years, St Giles Hospice has been an integral part of our community, providing care and support for local people, and their loved ones, living with a terminal illness.

Care is offered at the hospice sites in Whittington and Sutton Coldfield, and in patients’ own homes. St Giles spend around £10 million a year providing specialist palliative and end of life services and, with 25% of this funded by the Government, they rely heavily on donations and income generation from the local community.

Working with Wild in Art and brought to you by St Giles Hospice, ‘March of the Elephants’ will see a herd of over 60 elephant sculptures displayed across Lichfield, Tamworth and Sutton Coldfield from the 1st of July – 8th of September.

30 large elephant sculptures have been designed by local and national artists, designers, and illustrators – both well-known favourites and newly emerging talent. Plus, you’ll also be able to admire more than 40 mini members of the ‘herd’, designed by local schools and community groups.

The sculptures will be auctioned at the end of the trail to raise vital funds for local people, and their loved ones, living with a terminal illness.
