Tree of Life... Savers!

Pop along and vote for the RNLI tree this December at Lichfield Cathedral!

We’re so excited to be decorating our RNLI Christmas tree at the Lichfield Cathedral annual Christmas Tree Festival - complete with knitted yellow wellies! The children at a local Lichfield school, The Willows, have also been working hard creating very original tree decorations for us. Visitors to the Cathedral throughout December can vote for their favourite tree with cash prizes awarded to the winning charity.

We hope you will come along and support us and all the other businesses, charities and schools. It would be particularly rewarding for us to be nominated as “best in show” as next year is the 200th Anniversary of the RNLI’s inception. 200 years of saving lives - a proud tradition that has seen generations of families volunteer down through the years. Not only as lifeboat crew or lifeguards but as fund raising volunteers and, as Tamworth & Lichfield RNLI branch can testify, you don’t have to live by the sea to play an important part in keeping this vital service “afloat”.

You do have to book tickets for the event, which includes a fantastic light show on the walls of the Cathedral, and you can find further details at: www.lichfield-cathedral.org/what-s-on/lightshow.
